Our journey began at Mount Carmel Convent School in 1967 and continued at Mahanagar Boys’ High School from 1968 to 1976, forging lifelong friendships, cherished memories, and an enduring bond we proudly celebrate today.
Fifty-nine years ago, in 1967, our shared journey began at Mount Carmel Convent School, where boys and girls studied together until Class II. Those early years introduced us to the excitement of learning, the innocence of childhood, and the first friendships that would leave a lasting impression.
In 1968, as we entered Class III, our paths diverged. The boys continued their education at Mahanagar Boys’ High School, while the girls remained at Mount Carmel Convent School. Although our schools became different, the memories of those formative years remained a cherished part of our lives.
From 1968 to 1976, Mahanagar Boys’ High School became our second home. We walked through its gates carrying dreams, curiosity, and limitless possibilities. Within its classrooms, playgrounds, and corridors, we met classmates who would become lifelong friends. Some had been with us since Mount Carmel, while others joined us along the way, each adding a new chapter to our shared story. Every new class brought new friendships, fresh experiences, and unforgettable moments that shaped our character and enriched our lives.
After completing High School in 1976, life led each of us along different paths. We pursued careers, built families, crossed continents, embraced new opportunities, and faced life’s many challenges. Though the years passed and distances grew, the friendships forged during our school days quietly endured, living on in our hearts.
Today, as we gather to celebrate our Golden Jubilee Reunion, we do far more than mark fifty years since leaving Mahanagar Boys’ High School. We celebrate nearly six decades of shared memories, enduring friendships, laughter, achievements, and the extraordinary journeys that have brought us back together.
This reunion is a celebration of where our story began, of how far we have travelled, and of the timeless bond that continues to unite us as proud alumni of the 1976 Batch of Mahanagar Boys’ High School.
We share our experience frmo those wonderful days
